Is all red light the same?<\/h2>\n

Light-treatment devices may use LEDs, low-level lasers or both. LEDs and lasers are different light sources. Colour alone cannot establish a device\u2019s intended use, effectiveness or suitability for an individual.<\/p>\n

What is one example of a clinical finding?<\/h2>\n

Randomized sham-controlled lasercomb trials found increased hair density in pattern hair loss. The findings concerned particular devices and selected participants. Applying them to another lamp or another cause of hair loss requires separate justification.<\/p>\n

What does authorization of a particular device mean?<\/h2>\n

The FDA\u2019s Igrow-II record describes a particular combined system for a defined pattern of male hair loss. That example does not establish that any red panel treats hair loss from every cause.<\/p>\n

Which question should guide the choice?<\/h2>\n

Begin with the change you want, not the lamp colour. Improving skin appearance and assessing scalp hair are different tasks. Ask the professional to identify the aim, exact device and research relevant to that aim. If one machine supposedly \u201csolves\u201d many concerns, examine each promise separately. A study photograph or someone else\u2019s experience does not establish your expected result. Also compare how long participants were followed and how change was measured.<\/p>\n

What should be clarified for safety?<\/h2>\n

Eye protection and use conditions must follow the particular device\u2019s instructions. Assessment should consider light sensitivity and relevant medicines. \u201cLow intensity\u201d is not a reason to disregard device warnings or professional advice.<\/p>\n
